Spontaneous Qigong - A Perfect Exercise
Presented by: Y. L. Yen, April 5, 2009 I’d like to introduce a very good exercise called Zifagong to you. I will share with you of my own experience of practicing Zifagong and explain how does it work and why it a perfect exercise for your health. Zifagong can be translated literarily as Spontaneous Qigong. It is a kind of Chinese qigong. The theory of qi is the corner stone of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Qigong means practice and cultivate the vital life energy. Practicing qigong will lead us to a healthier and happier life. During the fall of year 2006, I was depressed and in bad shape. Somehow I was lucky enough to find a book “SUPER ZIFAGONG” written by Professor S. Z. Lin of the college I graduated from in Taiwan. This book is well structured based on his experience of teaching thousands of people. I was convinced and start to practice it right after I finished reading the book. It saved me and changed my life. There are so many kinds of qigong served for different purposes and work on different areas of our body in different ways. Zifagong is a natural qigong that applies our self-maintenance mechanism to improve our health. It is easy to learn and yet it is very powerful to expel toxins, fine tune and strengthen all the body functions. There is no movement, breath control, nor mind focusing to be learned. Everybody simply creates his or her own style dynamically. Most of the actions are just like Taiji motions, slow dancing and / or physical therapy. Every practice is a custom designed program created by you that tailored to your own needs and capacities. We are responsible for our own health. It’s important to select good exercise(s) to improve our health. Choose a few that will benefit us the most and in more effective way. Zifagong could be the one that makes you shining and pretty, happy and full of confidence. This presentation and future practices are free of charge. There is nothing to loss. Just come and take this opportunity to help yourself. The dancers have graciously donated their time and talent to work with The Teal Tea Foundation toward a common goal, Dancing For a Cure – Dancing Like the Stars. Dyachenko is also a winner of many International Competitions in Ballroom and Latin, including Blackpool Dance Festival, United States Dance Sport Championship, Open Italian Championship, Australian Open, Finland Open, Open London, and the Copenhagen Open. The Teal Tea Foundation raises money for research at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey and awareness campaigns led by the Foundation and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. Every woman is at risk for ovarian cancer, regardless of age, heritage, and/or medical history. At least 15,000 women die each year from ovarian cancer. The 5-year survival rate is greater than 75% if diagnosis of the cancer occurs before it has spread to other organs. However, the 5-year survival rate drops to 20% when the tumor has spread to the upper abdomen. In the United States, about 1 in 56 women develops cancer of the ovary. More than 26,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. Tickets go on sale August 15, and are $40 per person until October 1; $45 per person beginning October 2. Tickets may be purchased at the door (if not sold out) for $50 per person. Premium Seating is also available for $75 per person. The ticket price includes ballroom and Latin dance demonstrations, free lessons to anyone who wants to participate, and a complimentary buffet dinner by the popular Rosa’s Restaurant in Hamilton. The event also features door prizes and a silent auction, which includes five private lessons courtesy of Dyachenko. For ticket information, contact: www.tealtea.com or Amy Cellini at (609) 234-5153.
