The Holiday Walk, an annual, well-attended event in downtown Pennington, is ready to go again this year.
Clean Communities Cleanup Day is scheduled for Nov. 7. Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space, working together with Hopewell Township, invites groups and individuals to participate and earn money for the nonprofit organization of their choice.
“Give us a Jack and ginger ale.”
Douglas Terhune, whose name has been familiar to many in Hopewell for about 60 sixty years, drove out of town one chilly and rainy day with his son, Terry and daughter-in-law, Karen, to begin a new life with them in Madison, Wis.

Curfew in Hopewells — The Hopewell Borough and Hopewell Township Halloween curfew is in effect between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Oct. 30 through Nov. 1. The curfew is in effect for all persons under the age of 17 not accompanied by a parent or guardian, according to George Meyer, chief of police. The curfew will be enforced beginning Friday.
