Princeton University students and faculty this weekend received racist email messages that are being investigated by the school’s Department of Public Safety, the university said Sunday in a statement.
Princeton said other schools have been the target of “similar incidents” of email sent from “servers outside the campus.” According to media reports, the messages express white supremacist sentiments and urge people to vote for Donald Trump for president.
“The university deplores these revolting messages, which are contrary to our values and our code of conduct,” Michele Minter, vice provost for institutional equity and inclusion, said in the statement.
