The East Brunswick Library will hold a Folk Music Jam Session in the spirit of Woodstock at 7 p.m. on Aug. 28 at the library, 2 Civic Center Dr., East Brunswick.

Led by the Musicians & Friends’ Folk Jam Central Meetup Group, this is a family-friendly acoustic jam session. Attendees are encouraged to bring their acoustic instruments.

The Musicians & Friends’ Folk Jam Central Group Meetup Group is a network of local folk musicians who regularly perform together at libraries and public spaces. Their goal is to preserve and play the music of the 1960s and early 1970s. A schedule of upcoming jam sessions can be found online at www.meetup.com/Monmouth-Musicians-Meetup.

This program is free and open to the public.
