Old Bridge Library to offer free ESL classes beginning in September

The Old Bridge Library will offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning on Sept. 10, and from 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesdays, beginning on Sept. 11.

Both classes are available to Old Bridge residents only, and generally end in mid-December.

Registration begins Aug. 27 and must be done in-person at the Adult and Information Services desk at the Central Branch of the library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza, corner of Route 516 and Cottrell Road, Old Bridge.

Classes are free to Old Bridge residents and are taught in small groups by trained volunteers. Space is limited.

The library hosts a potluck meal on the last day of class, where all the students and tutors are encouraged to bring a dish representative of their country of origin, and eligible students receive a Certificate of Achievement.
