Sayreville Police to hold National Night Out event on Aug. 6

Eight-year old Sarah Murphy of Sayreville spars with Stephanie Ventura, of CKO Kickboxing in East Brunswick, during the 9th Annual National Night Out Against Crime held at Denny Stadium in South River on August 1. The event included vendors, food, games, a dunk tank, emergency equipment displays and other community activities.

The Sayreville Police Department will hold National Night Out from 5-9 p.m. on Aug. 6 at Kennedy Park, 807 Washington Road, Sayreville.

There will be music, a bounce house, games, food and activities.

The purpose is to advocate neighborhood safety and increase the partnership between the police and the community.
