Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Middlesex County is seeking volunteers to advocate for children in foster care.

CASA volunteers are appointed by a judge to speak for a child’s best interests. They meet with the child and learn about their circumstances, then share information and recommendations with the judge.

CASA volunteers come from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds, with no special experience or education needed. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, pass background checks, and have compassion, objectivity and commitment to children.

For those interested in volunteering, an information session will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on June 22 at the Metuchen Public Library, 480 Middlesex Avenue Metuchen.
