Abram Milich, 90, of Vineland, Abram Milich, 90, of Vineland, died Sunday January 31, 2010 at the Lincoln Specialty Center. Born in Poland, Abram had been a resident of the Vineland area since 1950, and was a self employed Poultry Farmer retiring in 1964. Abram was a Holocaust survivor and a member of the Landis Social Club. He enjoyed gardening, and being with his friends and family. He was predeceased by his grandson Mark DePalma. Abram is survived by three sons Herb and his wife Erika Milich of Skillman, NJ, Mayer Milich of Brigantine, NJ, and Jack Milich of Vineland, his daughter Marcia and her husband Dennis DePalma of Vineland, 8 grandchildren, one great grandchild. A graveside service will be held Monday at 2:00pm at the Alliance Cemetery, Norma, NJ. Arrangements by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 1019 E. Landis Ave., Vineland. Abram Milich, 90, of Vineland, Abram Milich, 90, of Vineland, died Sunday January 31, 2010 at the Lincoln Specialty Center. Vera F. Wood, 89 Vera F. Wood, 89, of Robbinsville, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2010 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. Born and raised in Detroit, MI; she resided in Beverly Hills, FL for many years before moving to East Windsor and later Robbinsville. Vera was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown and was very active with her community at Rose Hill in Robbinsville. Daughter of the late Victor Samuels, she was predeceased by her husband, Hubert M. Wood and a brother, Chester Samuels; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Herbert Lord of East Windsor; two grandchildren and their spouses, David and Anna Lord of Albuquerque, NM and Christine and Shane Boring of Colombia, SC and two great grandsons, Grant Lord and Jack Boring. Funeral Service will be held 11am on Wednesday, February 3rd at the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown. The Rev. Bryan Franzen will officiate. Interment will follow in East Windsor Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown and again Wednesday from 10-11am at the church. John J. O'Connell, Jr, 88 John J. O'Connell, Jr., 88, of Belle Mead, NJ, passed away Tuesday evening, February 2, 2010 at Merwick Care Center in Princeton after a long illness. Born in New London, CT, John grew up on Long Island and in New York City before moving to New Jersey in 1946. He has been a resident of Belle Mead since 1967. Mr. O'Connell was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, as a Chief Signalman, after faithfully serving his country from 1940 to 1946 during World War II. He was a founding and nurturing member of both New Horizons in Autism and COSAC, now known as Autism New Jersey, was active in the SEARCH program for the autistic, and was also a member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh Post 2290, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Manville. John enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and their friends and in his later years was an accomplished golfer. John retired in 1981 as a District Manager for John Hancock Insurance in Edison after 35 years of employment. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia Cole O'Connell and two sons Timothy C. and Patrick J. O'Connell. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law John J. O'Connell, III and wife Nona of Somerset, his son, Terence J. O'Connell, residing at Search Meadows Group Home for the Autistic in Freehold, NJ and two grandchildren, Patrick and Kerrin. Funeral services will begin on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 10:30 am at the Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Avenue, Princeton, NJ followed by an 11:00 am funeral mass at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, 214 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ. John will be laid to rest with his wife and sons in St. Paul's Church Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 1-5pm at the funeral home.
