Chiquita Pittman, a top agent for RE/MAX Platinum, is partnering with the Puerto Rican Action Board (PRAB) to host a free seminar for first-time homebuyers. The event takes place Tuesday, April 23 from 5-8 p.m. at the PRAB headquarters, located at 90 Jersey Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.

During the seminar, Pittman will review essential tips for anyone looking to make the jump from renting to home ownership. Tips will include the importance of managing your budget, and expenses to consider when determining how much home you can afford. Pittman will also review the latest tools available to help homebuyers with their search.

“There are many common mistakes made by first-time homebuyers,” said Pittman. “The key is having an experienced real-estate agent guide you through the process. During this session, I will share advice and tips to help first-time buyers avoid these common mistakes and ultimately make a good decision.”

A mortgage lender, home inspector and attorney will also be available before and after Pittman’s presentation to answer questions from potential homebuyers.
