The Halloween Parade for the City of Lambertville was a huge success, an organizer reports.

I brought home a large black and white photograph of a stunning, young woman with extra-large glasses propped up on a casual brimmed hat upon her head. She is wearing a wool sweater, not the cashmere kind she would be seen in a few years later, and she is posed with what appears to be the family fido. Both girl and dog are staring at someone away from the camera. She was probably in her 20s when the shot was taken. A wide black frame with white matting had been ordered from a local art gallery to embrace the image of the woman named Dory Coffee.

In 2008, Mayor David Del Vecchio signed onto the US Mayor’s Climate Protection Agreement. Over 985 mayors throughout the nation, and 100 NJ mayors, have committed to incorporating the agreement’s 12 sustainable practices in their local operations and communities. The first action involves taking an inventory of global warming emissions in City operations and in the community, setting reduction targets and creating an action plan to obtain the goal.
The regular Hunterdon Land Trust Farmers Market regular season ends on Sunday, but the farmers will be back again on Nov. 22 so shoppers can stock up for Thanksgiving or for the long, cold winter.
All meals are served at noon at Hibernia Apartments in Lambertville.
The Lambertville Area Education Foundation (LAEF) has announced three new members of its board of directors.

POLITICS: Democratic officials ponder life with a GOP governor

" I don't expect Democratic municipal officials to be happy but I would prefer they not be stupid. For the good of their towns --not to mention the state-- they need a cooperative relationship with this governor. As for Democratic state legislators-- they barely cooperated with a Democratic governor so I'm not holding my breath. "

" The corruption is pandemic in the State of NJ. One can hope iwith new LT Gov who is a sheriff and new Attorney General rather then the corrupt Jon Corzine and Anne MIlgram who did NOT enforce NJ criminal codes against corrupt officials that things can only improve. "
