West Amwell police reported:
On Oct. 29, due to an increase of H1N1 cases in the community, Hunterdon Medical Center (HMC) began screening visitors entering the hospital for H1N1 symptoms and implemented temporary visitation restrictions to protect the health of hospitalized patients, staff and volunteers. These restrictions will be in place for the duration of the H1N1 pandemic.
STOCKTON — The Stockton Fire Company recently went before the Borough Council to outline the importance of its service to the community in response to a disparaging remark floating around the borough.
George Fisher has won a seat on West Amwell’s governing body and restored Republicans to a position of power after a hotly contested race while Lambertville’s Democratic Mayor David Del Vecchio claimed a seventh term in office.

Republican George Fisher defeated Democrat Ron Shapella, 703-526, to win a three-year term on the Township Committee.
