Michael Salko, a cherished husband, loving father, and devoted friend, departed this life on March 27, 2025, at the age of 65, at his home in Cream Ridge, NJ, surrounded by the love of his wife and son.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Mike spent most of his childhood growing up in Old Bridge, NJ. He cultivated a reputation as a dedicated and talented individual. Mike was a skilled carpenter who owned and operated his own business, T&M Construction, for over 25 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who appreciated the splendors of nature, loved all aspects of hunting, and especially enjoyed saltwater fishing with his son. Golf was another one of Mike’s passions as he looked forward to playing with his friends on a weekly basis. He was a stellar member of the Fin, Fur, and Feather Club in Cream Ridge, who found joy in the camaraderie, sharing laughter and memories with many of the members. Throughout all facets of his life, Mike focused on creating long-lasting friendships and embracing time spent with loved ones and he will be deeply missed.
He is predeceased by his parents, Donald and MaryAnn Salko. Mike leaves behind his devoted wife of 40 years, Diane (Swirk) Salko and his son, Matthew Salko, as well as his two sisters, Donna Griffith and her husband, Mike, of Ohio, Marilyn Salko and her husband, Rich, of Florida and his brother, Robert Salko of New Jersey; and a community of cherished friends and family members who were touched by his kindness, generosity, and fun natured personality.
