A burglar broke into a Spruce Street resident’s car while it was parked in her driveway overnight between June 2 and June 3. The burglar stole $25 in cash from the center console. A Vera Bradley bag was taken from the trunk, but found in the middle of Spruce Street with its contents intact.
A man and two women entered a store on Hulfish Street and shoplifted $1,274 worth of merchandise on May 29. They fled through the rear emergency exit door with the merchandise.
A vandal punctured the front passenger side tire and placed a yellow sticker on the driver’s side front window with an image of Elon Musk with his arm raised that stated “It must be embarrassing to own a Tesla” on Nassau Street. The incident of criminal mischief was reported May 28.
Someone shattered the rear window of a vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot on Alexander Street May 27. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.
A 39-year-old Princeton man was arrested on active warrants from the Princeton Municipal Court and the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office on May 25. Police responded to complaints about loud music and alcohol consumption on Witherspoon Street, and discovered the man was wanted on active warrants. He was processed and taken to the Mercer County Correction Center.
A vandal scratched the rear driver’s side door on a vehicle belonging to a Mountain Avenue resident between May 23 and May 24. The vandal also had placed an anti-Elon Musk sticker on the victim’s other vehicle on May 20.
A 53-year-old Princeton woman was charged with shoplifting on May 20 in connection with an earlier shoplifting incident at a North Harrison Street business. She allegedly stole wine valued at $25.56. Police reviewed surveillance video and determined that she had allegedly stolen the wine.
A 29-year-old Lawrenceville woman was arrested on an active warrant for $750 from the Rochelle Park Municipal Court following a motor vehicle stop on Mountain Avenue on May 20. She was processed and released after posting bail.
