An Easton, Pa., woman was charged with driving under the influence, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and following too closely after she was involved in a crash at Washington Crossing-Pennington Road and Bear Tavern Road at 3:43 p.m. May 29. She was processed and released.
A New York State man was arrested on active warrants from Trenton, Newark and Elizabeth on May 26 after police responded to investigate a man who was asleep on the grass on Denow Road near The Learning Experience. The police officer offered to help the man and then discovered that he was wanted on the warrants. He was processed and released.
A Carter Road resident reported on May 24 that a check for more than $20,000 that was issued to a business for payment had been deposited into another account at another bank. A second check was attempted to be cashed against the victim’s account.
A purse containing a wallet and an iPhone was reported stolen from a vehicle that was burglarized while it was parked at Mercer Meadows Park on May 23. The driver’s side window was smashed and the thief reached inside to grab the purse.
A Navesink Road resident reported on May 20 that a wallet was stolen from their vehicle while it was parked at their home. The wallet contained personal items and identification. The theft occurred between April 28 and April 29.
