Police officers were sent to a business on State Road in response to reports of a man who allegedly shoplifted two razors and a package of Nicorette gum, valued at a combined $198.97, on May 10.

A 33-year-old Woodbridge man was arrested on an active warrant for $1,500 from the Union Township Municipal Court on May 9 following a motor vehicle stop on University Place. He was also issued a summons for maintenance of lamps. He was processed and released.

A 29-year-old Trenton man was arrested on an active warrant for $2,500 from the Bordentown City Municipal Court on May 8 after he was stopped by police on State Road for an improper display of license plates and having an unregistered vehicle. He was also issued summonses for driving an unregistered vehicle, driving while suspended, no liability insurance, improper display of license plates and failure to have an inspection sticker. He was processed and turned over to the Bordentown City Police Department.

A 43-year-old Piscataway man was charged with motor vehicle theft on May 7 for allegedly failing to return a car that he borrowed from a friend on Mulberry Row two months ago. He was arrested by the Edison Police Department and transferred to the Princeton Police Department. He was processed and taken to the Mercer County Correction Center.

Scaffolding belonging to a construction company was reported stolen from a home on Prospect Avenue. The scaffolding was valued at $6,000. The theft was reported May 6.

A Stanworth Lane resident reported the theft of jewelry valued at $1,550 from her apartment sometime between Jan. 1 and May 6.

A vandal smashed the rear window of a vehicle while it was parked in a North Harrison Street parking lot on May 3. There was no entry into the vehicle. Damage to the rear window was estimated at $500 to $1,000.

A victim reported the theft of her wallet, containing cash and credit cards, while she was having lunch at a Witherspoon Street restaurant on May 2. A woman sat down at a table next to hers and allegedly stole the wallet. The woman left the restaurant without ordering food and used the stolen credit cards at two Princeton businesses, charging $4,321.21 to the credit cards.
